Our Story

After experiencing chronic fatigue himself, James became fascinated by sleep and the impact it has on how we feel and function.

While studying for his MBA in London at OneDay and running Melo Sleep, a sleep-mask business, he began researching the relationship between increasing screen time and poor sleep — particularly among those who needed quality rest the most. Through conversations with night-shift workers and others struggling with sleep, one problem kept emerging: the content people watched before bed was often working against their ability to switch off.

That sparked a simple idea: what if the last thing you watched at night was not only something you genuinely wanted to watch, but was actually designed to help you sleep?

That idea became The Sleep Project — a show designed to be the last thing you watch before bed. With Hugh, Leif and Owen supporting the journey, we’re rethinking nighttime entertainment to create content that’s engaging enough to choose, but calming enough to help you unwind, switch off and sleep.
